SUMMARY:Biscayne Day: Notes from the Shallows
DESCRIPTION:The paintings in this exhibit were created in a single day at the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Biscayne Nature Center as part of an inaugural Adventure Painting residency co-facilitated by Bridge Initiative and The Guild of Adventure Painters. Working en plein air alongside naturalists\, the artists entered the shallow seagrass beds to observe\, listen\, and respond—brush in hand—to an ecosystem that is both delicate and essential. \nFree and open to the public.  The exhibit will be on display until March 31\, 2026

Her work is highly distinctive with bold color choices and contrasts – best described as “tropical realism.” \nRSVP for the reception and stay for the plein aire event immediately following!  All mediums\, all skill levels are welcome to paint out in our vibrant natural environment. \nBoth event are free and open to the public.

DESCRIPTION:Miami Plein Aire brings artists together to celebrate and expand South Florida’s Plein Air community through collaborative events and vibrant outdoor painting experiences. \nThis month’s event will be held at the Biscayne Nature Center immediately following the opening reception for Jacqueline Roch’s new exhibit\, Botanical Breeze. \nAll mediums and all skill levels are welcome to attend.  Free and open to the public. The recommended start time is 2:00 pm\, but artists are welcome to arrive and begin working as early as they like. The group will meet at 5:00 pm for check in and a group photo. \nThis is a self-directed experience; artists should bring their own tools and materials.
